About Me

Hi! I’m Kim, and I’m glad you’re here and want to learn more about how I can help you.

At the age of 55, I was diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis, and it shook my whole world. I have had psoriasis for the past 36 years and never thought much of it. I just treated my skin symptoms, didn’t even realize it was an autoimmune disease. I lived with it and figured I was doing everything I could do. Wrong! Six years ago, it morphed into psoriatic arthritis.

For months, I couldn’t use my right hand. Just stepping out of bed shot pain through my body. This was my wake-up call. I knew I was way overdue for truly taking care of myself. Because of my physical suffering, both skin and joints, I was suffering emotionally and mentally as well. It was time to take action.

I have never liked taking pharmaceutical drugs and looked for alternatives to fight back and find the path back to good health. It was not easy to find this path; I was seriously addicted to sugar! I quickly discovered that my love of and desire for sugar played a massive part in what was going on with my overall health.

Since this “a-ha” moment, I have been on a journey of changing my life for the better by using food as medicine and incorporating exercise into my daily routine–all with the focus of reducing inflammation that is the root cause of the pain, stiffness, skin flaking, itchiness and redness.

I chose a more holistic path to improve my health. I radically changed my diet to eat whole, healthy foods, and I stretch and exercise regularly. Today, I rarely have joint pain, my skin is clearer and less painful, I no longer feel like I need to cover up as much skin as possible! And I have lost 45 pounds. I’m the cool, fun, energetic grandma, travel as much as possible, and work to help other women feel their very best.

To continue my own education and to begin focusing on how to help others with these same issues, I became a Health Coach.   Learning more about how to prioritize health empowered me to continue improving my overall health and wellness. It also fueled my passions to share my knowledge with others like me and help them gain control over their own psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis.

These days, I work as an autoimmune protocol-certified (AIP) health coach, dedicated to helping women just like me and you to minimize joint pain, clear up their skin, lose weight, and regain energy and focus by supporting you on your path to wellness.

When I’m not coaching amazing women, I spend time with my husband in Texas and New Mexico, travel as often as possible, visit my three married children and four adorable and very busy granddaughters, create beautiful jewelry, and spend lots of time walking/hiking in nature.
